We are creating this blog with the goal of educating our children the importance of being good stewards of God's gift of money. We would like to create children that will grow up to be assets to our society and not liabilities.
Our group of guys call ourselves the "Bible Buds". The majority of our kids are between 4-16 years old and we want to prepare them the lessons of the bible and what we have learned to be successful approaches to the handling of money.
I think the first lesson is to realize that money is a gift from God and we have to honor Him in the ways we use it. If God were to look at your check register for the past couple of months, what would He find? Would he see a 10% tithe to your church? Would he see 10% of your money being saved? Or would he see excessive spending in other areas that do not honor Him?
